We were invited to pitch to produce the Academy rebrand at Horbury. It was a three way pitch and we were delighted to win.
The school was becoming an Academy and they wanted to use the opportunity to relaunch the school to their students, parents and the local community. The headteacher wanted the schools brand relaunch to be an opportunity to the values and standards expected at the school.
The original school logo featured 3 castles and a shield and the brief was to take these elements and create a modern interpretation of it. We produced a number of design concepts and the logo the school chose answered the brief, staying true to the historic importance of the castles and shield, and also providing a clear move from old to new.
It was then all hands to the pump as we had 8 weeks to roll the entire brand out through the school ready for the students return in September and the relaunch of the ‘new’ school branding.
Just the beginning…
The new school brand was then rollout out across the school and included:
- External and internal signage
- School prospectus
- Open evening and presentation evening literature
